so this is my tank at the end of march after having a bad time in november 2015 due to a close family member loss , i started again but this time with a redsea reefer 350. The previous frankenstein build my sumped vision 180 made its way to the dump.

What lights are those over your tank mate ?
Look like hydras, am running a hydra 52 over a reef space 900 but just can't get good growth out of anything. Just wounded what your dosing ?
Thanks

The hydra 52's got moved on as i never felt confident in them or felt i had enough light in my tank so now  im using a 6 x t5 ati unit non dimmable (3 x narva blue 1x actinic 1x reef pink 1x 10k white  . Currently dosing 120ml a day alk, 16ml a day calcium, 2ml a day magnesium, 1ml fauna marin ultra min s , 4 drips of aqua forest pro bio s and np pro, 4ml tmc K+ elements and every other day 2 drips of iodine. The bottle of acro power is redundant at the moment.

Wow quite the list of additives lol
I just don't think my hydra is set up right ? I've seen good results with them just not on my tank ? I feel they just need the right set up for my tank !
Thanks for the info
Awesome looking tank by the way would be well impressed if I got mine half the way to how yours is looking ! Well done

Try this

12 hr light cycle, 4 hour ramp. (remember that your ramping away from the end time)
light Bias - Blue

White 55%
Royal 95%
Deep blue 90%
Green 45%
red 15%
Violet 30%
UV 25%
for 12 hours total, so as an example. start 8am - finish 4pm - 4 hr ramp. The ramp will start at 8pm, run until 12pm, run at max settings until 4pm then ramp down to 8pm

is what someone is running their tank at very successfully but obviously times to suit ur viewing pleasure and that was reccomended to me on the us version hydra 52, i cant remember which is which now but either the eu is bluer or the us version hydra 52 is bluer. I personally dont think 2 was enough over my tank and if im completly honest the IT2060 i was running before apart from the slight disco effect gave me growth and covered the full tank with light , but we always tend to chase a rainbow.

The thing i learned was i really really miss the pop from the hydras but i dont regret going t5 and getting growth.
